Nursing Home Ministry
Many of the people in area nursing homes are forgotten by their families and friends. We will provide an atmosphere of love and care as we minister Jesus’ love with the elderly. In this ministry you may be serving in several different ways. Some are: handing out mail, reading the Bible or letters to residents, praying, and being a servant to the nurses there. We will also offer to have services there, which would include singing, teaching, and ministering in prayer.
Jail Ministry
Jesus said, “I was in prison and you came to visit me.” (Matthew 25:36) Join the ministry team as they visit male and female inmates in the local jails, bringing them the Gospel offering support and encouragement to them in their loneliness and desolation. The team also writes letters and creates pen-pal friendships to those in jail or prison. Many inmates never hear from anyone on the outside. Receiving a letter often provides a lifeline with a person who cares. You will have the opportunity to share God’s mercy and forgiveness and introduce them to the life-changing power of the Cross.
Friday Night Street Evangelism
On Friday nights, scores of people head out to downtown Fort Worth and “Deep Ellum” in Dallas. This is a great time to aggressively hit the streets to pray and witness for Jesus Christ. In Matthew 11:12 Jesus said, “the Kingdom of Heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.” We will be taking Jesus’ love and compassion to the streets of Dallas & Ft. Worth in small teams of two or three to offer the Gospel to a lost and dying world. This is a great ministry for building relationships, following up with a friendly phone call to invite them to Heartland.
Saturday Door-to-Door
Saturday morning is a good time to reach people in their homes. Most people are just waking up after a long night out on the town. This ministry involves servant evangelism including taking out the trash, cutting the grass, bringing groceries, whatever it takes to reach them with the Gospel. We will be asking for prayer requests, inviting them to church etc. Join us in reaching people for Jesus one door at a time. Jesus said, “I was a stranger and you invited me in.” (Matthew 25:35) If you have a ‘gift of gab’ and are sensitive to know when to speak and when to listen, this is an open door for you!
Heartbeat Children's Ministry
"What a child believes by 12, he will die believing." George Barna. Change the world by changing a generation through worship, prayer, Bible teaching, and have fun doing it. We use drama, music, and small group ministry to impact young lives that Jesus is real and to find their purpose in life. We have ministry opportunities for every age group from infants through fifth grade. You can change a life in a heartbeat.

Beautiful Feet- Homeless Shelter, Ft. Worth
“How beautiful upon the mountain are the feet of those who bring the Good News of God to all His children.” (Romans 10:15) Beautiful Feet is a homeless shelter in downtown Ft. Worth who give food and shelter to those going through tough times in their lives. Opportunities include holding services there with worship, preaching, altar call and prayer ministry. You may also help serve food there and be servants to the workers with whatever they need done. We have such favor with leadership there, and the Lord will use you to lay hands on these people and ask God to work miracles in their lives and lead them to Jesus. So many of God’s children are wandering our streets looking for … something. Is God calling you to be His love with skin? www.thefeet.org
Adopt-a-Church
God has given us a heart for the local church. It’s part of the vision of HSM to help strengthen local churches. One of the exciting new approaches we are undertaking to assist local churches is our Adopt-A-Church ministry. We are interested in a network of churches that desire to work together to see a sweeping movement of God in the United States and around the world!
Whether you are a pastor, ministry leader, or a Christian We are partnering with those that have a heart for revival in their Spirit-empowered ministry.
We have a sincere passion to see local churches being used to reach their communities with the power and presence of God.
Working with other pastors in area- worship, evangelism
“…to prepare God’s people for works of service” (Ephesians 4:12) You will work with a ‘mentor’ pastor, teacher, evangelist, prophet, apostle, or worship leader, serving that minister and serving the people in a particular church in the city.
Outreach to College Campuses
“Even youths grow tired and weary and stumble and fall…” (Isaiah 40:30) We will be ministering at several of the local college campuses through Bible studies and events at the student centers, games on the basketball and tennis courts or the baseball/softball fields, and with music and good fellowship. We pass out flyers about upcoming events, witness one-on-one to students, have monthly campus-wide outreaches, and also follow-up and discipleship to get the new converts plugged in to a local church. We would like to have a ministry on every college campus in the metroplex, but we need your help!
Dallas Dream Center
God said, “…I will give my Spirit to everyone…your old men will have dreams and your young men will see visions.” (Joel 2:28) Downtown Dallas is one of many areas where many have lost hope and forgotten how to dream. On Saturday mornings here is an opportunity to bring ‘starving’ people food for their bodies and spirits. We bring food and provide a “sidewalk” Sunday School. God has shown us how to use hip-hop dancing and apartment complex extreme makeover to invite people into a relationship with Jesus. You will work with this local ministry in the poorest area of Dallas. www.dallasdreamcenter.net
Women’s Teen Challenge
Peter said, “So turn to God! Give up your sins, and you will be forgiven.” (Acts 3:19) What a great opportunity to observe and participate in a tried and proven program!
Pastors Steve and Jeri Hill are graduates of Teen Challenge and very much support this ministry. They help women turn from drugs and alcohol, not with a 12-step program, but with Jesus! You will work with the leadership there helping them with Bible Studies, worship and prayer during chapel time, and other opportunities that arise in the program. This opportunity is for females who have a heart for newly saved women getting on-fire for the Lord. www.teenchallenge.com
After School at the Reserves
And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men. (Luke 2:52) We have an awesome opportunity to serve in a mentoring program for young girls, ages 12-18, at The Reserves At Las Brisas apartment complex. These are regular middle and high school girls who live in the apartment complex. Many are not yet saved, but are interested in tutoring by college students. This would be an awesome experience to learn friendship evangelism and 1-on-1 discipleship to a young woman. Together with Renee Judd, mentoring coordinator, we can win this complex, one lady at a time.
Hospital Visitation
“For I was sick and you visited me.” (Matthew 25:36) Join Pastor Ralph Bradshaw in hospital visitation. You will have the opportunity to lay hands on the sick and experience the power of God at work through you. You may receive the occasion of leading someone to the Lord at a critical time in their life. Through much listening, prayer, your presence, and little speaking, we can bring the extravagant love of Jesus to the sick and suffering.
Discipleship Fellowship
“Go! To the people of all nations and make them my disciples: baptize them and teach them to do everything I have told you. I will be with you.” (Matthew 28:19-20) Discipleship is about building a relationship with Jesus. It includes accountability, study of God through His Word and Spirit, and fellowship with other Believers. Is this the burden in your heart?
