World Missions

God's Message To Our World
When Jesus encountered the woman at the well in John 4:19-24, Jesus used this encounter in missions to establish the heart of God as we go to the world. The final word is that “the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth; for such people the Father seeks to be worshipers. God is a Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth.

John Piper stated that, “Missions is not the ultimate goal of the Church. Worship is. Missions exists because worship doesn’t. Worship is ultimate, not missions, because God is ultimate, not man. When this age is over, and the countless millions of the redeemed fall on their faces before the throne of God, missions will be no more. It is a temporary necessity. But worship abides forever.

The goal of this class is to prepare worshipers to go into all the world for the task of making worshipers in all nations by both knowing God and making Him known. Back to Top ^
