Heartland School of Ministry areas of specialization are Missions/Evangelism, Student Ministry, Children's Ministry, and Worship. HSM students are trained and raised up in a selected area of ministry through intensive in-class training as well as hands-on involvement in the local church and outreaches.
HSM faculty consists of passionate, experienced pastors, evangelists, missionaries, and teachers who desire to pour themselves into the lives of their students.
Heartland School of Ministry is a two year or four semester program, with the option of a third year internship of intensive training available for those students desiring to pursue ministerial ordination.
Fall semesters run from mid-August to mid-December and spring semesters from mid-January to mid-May.
A full time student meets in classes Monday - Thursday mornings from 8:00 am – 12:30 pm for a total of approximately 17 hours of classes per week. Part-time enrollment is also an option.
Yes. Full time students are required to attend chapel as it provides an important time of worship and impartation from the various speakers.
HSM has been to more than 16 different countries since 2005. Each year HSM offers numerous mission opportunities both foreign and domestic.
Absolutely not! Here at HSM it is a part of our curriculum for you to be involved in hands-on ministry while attending HSM. Active, weekly ministry involvement is a requirement for each semester while attending HSM.
Students enrolling at HSM must be 18 years of age and have completed high school or a GED. There is no maximum age limit.

Completion of the first year at HSM may satisfy the academic requirements to apply for Certified Minister status in the US General Council of the Assemblies of God (Level One). Upon completion of the second year, a student may satisfy the academic requirements to apply for Licensed Minister status in the US General Council of the Assemblies of God (Level Two).
HSM credits transfer to Global University and may also transfer to Southwestern Assemblies of God University.
Tuition, including books and fees, is $1,950 per semester for a full-time student.
HSM does not have on-campus housing, however, we do have a process to assist placing students in apartments or with roommates at reasonably priced apartments near the school.
